Ines Paxton

Ines Paxton, Principal Soprano and Artistic Associate

Ines grew up in a musical family and studied violin, piano and voice throughout school. In 2021, she completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) in Classical Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Throughout her degree, Ines performed as a soloist in the Chamber Choir and opera chorus, and in 2019 travelled to Chengdu, China to perform in the Sister Cities Youth Music Festival.

Ines currently sings in the choir of St James’ King Street, where she is on a choral scholarship, and particularly enjoys performing sacred music.

Ines debuted with Musgrove Opera as the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio! (2018) and as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel (2021). She has recently been appointed Principal Soprano and Artistic Associate at Musgrove Opera, a role she is excited to pursue.
