Inspiring schools productions
Musgrove Opera's fast-paced, engaging schools concerts and opera skills workshops are highlights of our touring program. Designed as incursions for primary aged students, the concerts are available throughout NSW and in other states and territories where possible. Don't hesitate to get in touch!
We can present up to three performances at your school per day, and each session lasts around an hour. Q&A sessions with the cast are avaliable on request.

2022 Schools Production: Max & Moritz

adapted from a novel by Wilhelm Busch directed by Lachlan Massey Max and Moritz is a story of two boys, and seven daring pranks. Based on a story by German humourist Wilhelm Busch, this exciting classic is transformed into an opera for children and families by Australian composer Aija Draguns. This exciting new show comes to schools following its premiere at the Sydney Opera House and is sure to inspire K-6 students and their teachers. |

BLAST: K-2 workshop BEAM: Years 3-6 workshop BRAVO: Years 7-12 workshop (with a particular version available for Year 11 & 12 students sitting the HSC Music 2 course). Cost: $3 per student. Requirements: The workshops can be completed in any standard size classroom, however, we recommend 4sqm per student to allow for some staging elements of the workshops. |
